London’s love affair with Italy seemingly knows no bounds this year – so be prepared for the finale, as Sir Rocco Forte and Brown’s Hotel stage a festive Italian takeover across the hotel’s restaurant and neighbouring Donovan Bar. Two masters of Italy, chef Heinz Beck and drinks maestro Salvatore Calabrese will bring their chosen flavours and cocktails to the capital. Executive chef at Rome’s three Michelin-starred La Pergola since 1994, for his six weeks at Brown’s, Heinz Beck has created Ora, an Italian inspired pop-up exemplifying the classic techniques and comforting elements of Heinz’s approach to Italian cuisine. Meanwhile Salvatore will curate a special martini and negroni menu featuring classics and favourites inspired by the expert bartender’s time at The Dukes Hotel in the 1980s.
