Pakal: The Missing Museum

Art & Culture

This event has ended.

Pakal, the mysterious artist that resists definition, presents a show unpicking the origins of history and fact. Take The Missing Museum on first impressions and you’ll find the artwork is striking enough by itself (fans of Grayson Perry will have fun unpicking Pakal’s striking characters) but don’t miss delving into the backstory. Pakal has based its latest work around the 1962 discovery of the Göbekli Tepe tribe in Turkey, which uncovered a temple that predated Stonehenge by 6000 years, and turned the conventional view of the rise of civilisation on its head. In a world of fake facts and fake fiction, Pakal presents artefacts to question authority and authenticity – be prepared to talk about this one for a few days.
