Koya’s Edgar Wallace heads to The Good Egg this December to celebrate the brilliant American-Jewish custom of eating Chinese food on Christmas Day. A tradition it’s thought started due to the close proximity between the Jewish and Chinese communities in New York City in the late 19th century (and the lack of other restaurants open on 25th December), Edgar and Good Egg chef Jooles O’Sullivan will be combining both Jewish and Chinese cultural traditions for a one-off feasting menu. From hot and sour matzo ball soup to Szechuan noodle kugel and roast duck, this will be festive food as we’ve never had it before.
