Albert Adrià

The famed Tickets chef

In Conversation

It would be an understatement to say we’re excited about the opening of Albert Adrià’s (Tickets, Enigma, Bodega 1900) Cakes & Bubbles at Hotel Café Royal; Champagne + Albert’s famed desserts sounds like a winning combination to us.

Opening at noon on November 8th, the first 140 guests will receive a glass of Champagne and a slice of his much-loved cheesecake (if you’re in the first 40 you’ll be seated, and the next 100 will be offered take away). All guests on the first day (both complimentary and paid) will receive an autographed Adrià ‘ticket’, with one special ticket offering a trip to Barcelona with flights, accomodation and dinner for two at Tickets included. Heads up – getting in to Tickets is almost impossible, so this is BIG. See you in there!

Get to know Albert a little better in our interview below.

What’s your all time favourite London restaurant?
I love having dim sum at A. Wong.

And what’s your favourite in Barcelona?
I have too many I like in Barcelona – it would be unfair to choose just one!

Which is your favourite of your own venues?
Bodega 1900.

Where do you celebrate when you’re in London?
I like walking around Chinatown and discovering something new.

What’s next after Cakes & Bubbles?
I hope to open more Cakes & Bubbles! But for now I’m working on Mercado Little Spain, opening in New York next year.
