Coupette Founder's favourite spots for a tipple

In Conversation

As the Savoy’s former head bartender and founder of Bethnal Green’s new hotspot Coupette, it’s safe to say Chris Moore knows his drinks – so we quizzed him about his favourite spots for a tipple.

What’s your favourite bar in London?
Three Sheets (apart from Coupette!). It’s intimate, friendly and has great drinks.

What do you order?
Their whisky soda (a milk washed whisky punch) – it’s light, fresh and delicious.

Favourite international bar?
Bar Calvador in Kyoto. 400 different calvados, rotating ciders and just nine seats.

Where do you go for a night out?
For me it would be a drink and then dinner. Probably a martini in the Connaught bar and then dinner at Helene Darroze.

Favourite way to spend a Sunday?
Brunch with my wife, then cinema in the evening with lots of time relaxing in between. I love the lounge at Whiteleys.
