L’oscar London, 2-6 Southampton Row, WC1B 4AA
Open date: May 2018
A previously derelict Grade II-listed hotel, which originally housed the Baptist Church in Holborn, reopens under the guidance of designer Jacques Garcia.
The lights are low and its time to baroque. Jacques, who previously lent his interior design nous to Hôtel Costes in Paris and New York’s NoMad, has designed an ultra-luxe five-star hotel as a new party spot. Downstairs, Michelin-starred executive chef Tony Fleming fronts the Baptist Grill. Upstairs, bedrooms are extravagant, with high ceilings, large windows and lots of individual quirks. And don’t miss the Onyx Bar in Café L’oscar.
