The Lowdown
Old world history meets five star luxe in a historic 13th century building

The Facts
Joining its Miami Beach and Sea of Galilee properties, this is the third opening from the Setai group. It’s located right in the middle of the city by the famous Clock Square on the Jaffa coastline. The historic building – known as the Kishle – dates back to the 13th century, with its original architectural elements being preserved throughout. Designed by Ara, it’s all about old meets new. Think original stone, reclaimed timber ceilings and antique Arabic wall patterns, contrasted with modern furniture and high-tech features (like LED glass partitions that mean the bathrooms can be privatised electronically). The views here are great all round – luminous skyscrapers to the north, rustic landscapes to the south, the Med to the west, and the Clock Tower to the east.
