Secrets of the Dah Dah Sisterhood
Want to be the next Daria Zhukova and land yourself a Russian billionaire? Apparently, the path is still through the stomach.
During my time in New York, I have been inducted into a kind of Russian sisterhood. We meet twice a week, drink Georgian wine, eat blinis and liver pate. We sip tea and munch on Turkish delight and quince kompot.
No matter how hard I try to keep the conversation flowing, at some stage the conversation turns to my marital eligibility. Jennichka, darling, why don't you get married? There are many handsome young Russian men in London - some of them are millionaires!
And so it begins, the tips, the advice, and the keen observations on my shortcomings. My main problem it turns out, that I am not cooking enough Soviet food to pull in the punters. So what follows in the guise of recipes are three apparent keys to success.
