This location has always been a special one. Close to the salt flats of Ses Salines, the airport, and DC10, the light hits it beautifully, making it a great sunset, pre-club or pre-departure spot. Joining other MAINEs (in Dubai, Bodrum, and London) this MAINE has definitely been created for Ibiza.
The Menu
The focus here is on sharing. Menu highlights include tomato carpaccio with sumac; sea bream with jalapeño and lime salt; sticky short rib with honey mustard glaze; a classic rigatoni alla vodka; a fiery spicy shrimp linguine; chargrilled calamari with chilli oil and chimichurri; and a selection of grilled steaks and chops. The cocktail and wine menus are extensive, and don’t leave without a slice of baked Basque cheesecake and/or broken apple pie.
Highlights
The décor. Dark wood and candlelight make for atmospheric open-air dining. The building itself is an 18th century parish located next to the salt flats, where the white flamingos congregate daily. There’s a DJ, but music is more background than centre stage, and the staff run a slick operation.
