Dialled-In

Lisbon – with Four Creatives

Lisbon

Podcast Episode 6

— 51 minutes

This week we’ve mixed up our format a little bit to speak to four different Portuguese creatives.

First, we speak to João Magalhães Correia, an awarded Portugese chef who is the founder of two of Lisbon’s hottest restaurants Bar Alimentar and Tricky’s, and a partner in the excellent cocktail bar Furia, to get his bar and restaurant recommendations.

Then we head over to find Eduardo Marecos Duarte, who was previously the head of Soho House’s Cities Without Houses in Lisbon and is now the head of Marketing and Culture for the new Standard hotel in Lisbon, to chat about his culture picks.

After that we head over the bridge to find nightlife queen, Ana Fernandes, who spent several years in New York City working in fashion and nightlife, before she returned to open the NY-style Burger Queens of Caparica restaurant, bar and events space, to get her nightlife picks and talk about local music genres.

And lastly we put a call in to creative director, fashion designer, and most recently wellbeing enthusiast Magas (aka Joǎo Magalhães), who is usually Lisbon based, but is currently spending some time in Rio, to get his welbeing recommendations, with a little fashion thrown in.

“It’s not a city for heels, as you’ve probably noticed.”

— MAGAS
