Fallow

Sustainable, modern British cooking

Details

More info

10 Heddon Street. A venue being used for innovative residencies, Manteca and Pacific being the two most recent ones – and now, Fallow, which is set to be here for a longer stay. With chefs that met working at Dinner at Heston, a GM from Soho House, and a concept (Fallow) that sold out at two pop-ups (Carousel and Crispin), this residency had a lot going for it before it even opened.

Highlights
Do sit outside if you can – this street is always busy and it’s fun to people-watch. They might be Insta bait, but the corn ribs are excellent, and the burgers look great, too – even if not the most high-brow option. The menu here rotates weekly, so check before you go, but do start with oysters, smoked beef ribs and the mushroom parfait if they have them, and definitely move onto a fish or meat dish for two, with savoury Kombu fries. Definitely try their in-house handcrafted soft serve and hot sauce (not together), which should both be ongoing.
