Carine Roitfeld

Former French Vogue editor-in-chief

In Conversation

Ahead of her highly anticipated ‘SEVEN’ event as part of Veuve Clicquot’s Widow Series, we sat down to find out a bit more about the inimitable Carine Roitfeld.

What was the last exhibition you went to?
The Christian Dior exhibition at Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. It was fantastic to see so many archive pieces brought together under one roof, a true retrospective delight.

Where do you go when you want to celebrate in London?
I love China Tang at the Dorchester hotel, the perfect place for a party!

All-time favourite restaurant in London?
I love to start the night with a glass of champagne at The Ritz, followed by dinner at Annabel’s, it’s chic and decadent. You also can’t beat the chicken curry at the Connaught, it’s my guilty pleasure.

Tell us the one thing you can’t live without right now:
I really treasure spending as much time as possible with my granddaughter.

What’s inspiring you currently?
Sports! I don’t think you expected that answer from me, but it’s true.
