  • M RAW launches a sushi bar

This July will see the launch of M Restaurant’s sushi bar in their RAW restaurant. Created by Executive Chef Michael Reid, who has recently finished a two-year stint with Shannon Bennett in Melbourne and Head Chef Jarad McCarroll, who joined M in October from Chiltern Firehouse. The RAW menu includes some non-traditional bites such as quinoa sushi, with swordfish tuna, lobster and caviar.

  • RAW at La Suite West hotel in Bayswater

For those who like to partake in a strict raw diet without the hippy hangovers, head to La Suite West hotel in Bayswater – the sleek architecturally designed by Anouska Hempel hotel which houses the equally sleek vegan restaurant and outdoor dining terrace, RAW. Choose from the new vegan a la carte menu, vegan salad bar menu or London’s first vegan fine dining five course tasting menu. Oh, and there s a Vegan afternoon menu, too.

  • Vantra Vitao

For those in the Oxford Street area, try vegan café Vantra Vitao for its gluten-free, raw, low-sugar, low-GI and macrobiotic dishes without any hippy clichés. By day it’s a buffet and by night a la carte. However, if you just need a quick pick me up, try their coffee and coffee substitutes such as carob, maca and macha.

  • Nama

An oldie but a goodie, Nama in Notting Hill, has stood the test of time, not just for their extensive menu but also for their raw food courses, catering, raw food cleanses, juice cleanses – all in a laid back atmosphere. Non-raw folks flock here, too – if only for the fermented blueberry cheesecake.

  • Tanya’s Café

Raw tacos, sprouted raw buckwheat gnocchi and cold press cocktails… if these make your mouth water, head to Tanya’s Café. Not only does it cater to the raw movement but its Europe’s only superfood cocktail bar, making guilty pleasures well, a little less guilty.
