This year, the programme was perhaps the most audience-friendly of late.
If you don’t know its predecessor, then the new brand showcase and trade fair might leave you impressed – pretty, slick and, for being Spain, reasonably well organised.
It was never going to please everybody - “too activist”, “too commercial”, “too frivolous”, it was mumbled - but, in our humble opinion, the inaugural Pride Barcelona did well, even without the crisis-stricken Matinée Group.
