London’s appetite for fresh pasta and authentic Italian flavours shows no sign of waning (how could it, really?), and Flour & Grape is the latest arrival south of the river, replacing its predecessor Antico. The vibe? Taking cues from Padella around the corner, it’s casual and affordable but high quality: think high seating, a counter bar, and takeaway service, with a pared-back menu of pasta, antipasti and wine. There are eight pastas on the menu to work through (including a must-try gigli sausage ragu and a vegan bucatini).  alongside dishes like homemade ricotta with beetroot or pork tenderloin with the already-infamous tonnato. To drink, there are 25 wines available by the glass, all designed to go easy on the bill, although we say it’s also a good excuse to chop and change between courses and try something totally new.
