Contemporary Italian (with an LA slant) comes to Old Street with Passo, a new all-day eatery and the latest addition to the GoodLife family. Headed up by Massimiliano Iaquinoto, who hails from southern Sicily and is the former head chef of Shoreditch House, Passo will focus on simple, classic Italian dishes with assured flavours and technique at the heart of the menu. They’ll be making fresh pizza and pasta dough on site every day and by the sounds of the first range of dishes (orecchiette with octopus ragout, tomato and langoustine ravioli and on-the-bone ribeye with lardo potatoes), you won’t be leaving hungry. With a considered wine list from guru Zeren Wilson and DJs on the decks from Thursday through the weekend, Passo sounds like a well-fed party spot in the making.
Passo is on soft launch from 20th November, offering 50% off walk-ins until 22nd November, before officially opening on 27th November.
