Six Senses Douro Valley, Portugal

If you love wine, this place has to be on your radar. Set in the very beautiful UNESCO World Heritage section of the Douro Valley, this is one of the oldest wine-producing regions of the world. They have an interactive wine library, with tapas paired with exceptional wines by the glass. The wine directors and sommeliers here of course are on top of premium organic and biodynamic selections, and views of the Douro river and surrounding vineyards set the tone for a relaxing stay. The new suites have temperature-controlled wine fridges, with a selection of Douro wines to try –  yes please. The spa is a Six Senses, and the interior design is a mix of old and new.
