After it felt like all of east London had fallen head over heels for Clapton’s incredulously small wine bar, news emerged that the P Franco family would take over Ellory’s space at Netil House. More food, more space and more creations from William Gleave and Peppe Belvedere? #UJLoves. Bright operates as a wine shop and bar at the front, run by general manager Phil Bracey (P Franco’s not-so-secret weapon), with an established restaurant at the back. Wines continue to focus on small-scale producers across Europe and the New World, while the restaurant menu will feature contemporary Italian, wider European and Asian influences, thanks to Peppe and William’s combination of Italian and Tasmanian backgrounds. Let’s face it: where P Franco goes, we’ll gladly follow.
