Get the low-down on where to spin

With so many spin classes popping up in the capital now, knowing which one to pick is becoming increasingly difficult. If you’re not already au fait with the differences, there are differences! Knowing things like if you want to wear your own shoes, or clip into theirs is very important. Below is our low-down on five of London’s best. All are drop-in classes, so no membership fees required.

Another Space
The Vibe: An airy, spacious spin class
Locations: Covent Garden and Bank
Shoes: Cleated clip-on shoes provided
Facilities: Showers with Cowshed products, dryers, straighteners, towels and water provided
Refuel: There’s an on-site smoothie bar
Price: £20, but you can get a discount by purchasing a pass
Duration: 45 minutes

The Vibe: The usual dark room with loud beats; some of the classes ask you to use bike light colours to ‘show’ how fast you are going (makes it hard to cheat!)
Location: 45 Phillimore Walk, Kensington, W8 7RZ
Shoes: Normal trainers are permitted
Facilities: Waterfall showers, dryers, straighteners, make-up station
Refuel: On-site kitchen with healthy fare, breakfast being a highlight
Price: £17-26, depending on demand

KXU
Vibe: Performance-orientated, LED-tastic spinning with spacious, raised club like platforms
Location: 241 Pavilion Rd, Chelsea, SW1X 0BP
Shoes: Normal trainers are permitted
Facilities: Cryotherapy chamber and infrared sauna (additional fees apply), plus the usual showers
Refuel: On-site nutrition bar with poké bowls specifically geared to recovery
Price: £24, but you can get a discount by purchasing a pass
Duration: 45 minutes

KXU

One 10
Vibe: Stats and points are the name of the game in this personalised class (and yes, there’s a leaderboard)
Location: 16 Baker St, Marylebone, W1U 3BL
Shoes: Cleated clip-on shoes are provided
Facilities: Showers with cowshed products, lockers with charging points, towels provided
Refuel: No on-site café
Price: £20, but you can get a discount by purchasing a pass
Duration: 45 minutes
