Café Zen

Breakfast, brunch and bennies.

This brunch only joint packs in the punters who come for the assortment of 'bennies', or eggs benedict to the uninitiated. Tables are squished tight together and you’re in real danger of eating off your neighbour’s plate if you’re not careful - not that this is necessarily a bad thing. The Blackstone Benny with bacon and tomato or spicy Spanish style Huevos Rancheros are great, fresh fruit cups come in cheap and the lattes are served in big mugs as opposed to skinny glass tubes so preferred by high-end dinner establishments. The atmosphere is upbeat, the crowd’s colourful and there’s a no trans-fat policy - so you’re even killing that hangover with a hefty, healthy kick.

Top Tip / UJ Loves: Take a short stroll down to Kits Beach, or pop into local grocery Kits Market to brighten up your day with something from the amazing flower selection.
